Medium carbon silico manganese is a ferrous alloy that contains a high amount of carbon and silicon. It is used in steel foundries, electrode coating work, and other areas.
Medium carbon silico manganese contains up to 0.5% carbon, while high carbon silico manganese contains 2.25% to 2.5% carbon. High-carbon ferro alloys can increase the strength of steel, but too much carbon can make steel more brittle.
